Gerald hi,

The project for the smilefaucet “EXIT” submission – it’s all live footage but I want to do one graphic version as well and I want your most valued opinion. Can you take a look and suggest how can I approach this with graphic elements and vfx.

and one more thing – those titles – I don’t have enough enthusiasm and motivation for them, but I need to make them look better, so can you just give me couple specific ideas how to make it work better. You already made some remarks, but can you take a look at it one more time and kinda frame what can be done overall in a specific way…

thank you for your feedback. I have a couple of questions: on the dynamite concepts, which one do you think is working better. I thought the second one, where the formula is inside the dynamite is easier to understand… you are saying to rethink the insides of the stick – it is in fact sawdust soaked in nitroglycerin, I don’t know how to represent it better -> any ideas? and can you explain to me the snapping of the camera you suggest.. do you mean different cuts, or.. do I still have the animation of the formula and just having 3-4 cuts to the equation ..?

thanks for the idea on the solar system concept. I was just thinking how to incorporate the middle size (human:) element (between the macro and the micro) and I think your idea will fit concept very nice..

here my mind was concentrated on physics vs quantum physics … the animation turned out little long may be one more section and it could be shown as a whole was well as broken down in 3 parts… may be. I have to work on my hallway project so please give me some ideas/opinions/directions over all so I can hopefully have something finished by Tuesday..

well I didn’t make the concept shorter, but I think it’s a bit more clear now… instead of the formula pointing to the TNT, the chemical reaction is inside the stick. The actual formula is shorter so there will be enough time to see it.

Science Channel Logo Bumper

Here is a concept for the Science Channel logo bumper. The two story boards are almost the same with slight differences. The first seems to be a bite tidier but less fun than the second. The ideas is to show the formula of TNT (or Trinitrotoluene for more sophistication) finishing with explosion. I made a video test of the first board and I can say it doesn’t look clear enough, it’s too long and maybe there is too much going on… I could try divide it in two. I’ll appreciate any idea you can give me, mean while I’ll try to develop some more concepts.

The first logo that I am attempting to animate is the Science Channel logo, and to get it out of my system I used the most obvious concept – the periodic table …
